Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Florida Family Support provides personalized ABA services for children (18 months and up) with autism and/or on the autism spectrum, and their families in the Palm Beach and North Broward markets. The Florida Family Support team of experienced and skilled therapists demonstrate their incredible passion and understanding with each and every family they work with.

Recognizing the importance of the child’s support system and family as a key to the success of behavioral therapy, Florida Family Support uses a multidisciplinary approach by integrating one-on-one therapy with not only the child, but also the family. Training and “Family Support Groups” are provided for caregivers, siblings, and family members to assist them in handling the difficult times and pressures that may emerge. Most individual counseling sessions take place in the patient’s home and/or personal community where the reality of life exists.

Florida Family Support is committed to creating a supportive community focused on training, sharing experiences, building confidence, and strengthening the family relationship.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional behavior assessments
  • Develop, implement and monitor behavior support plans and individualized treatment plans
  • Perform skill assessments (ABLL’s/AFLS’s/VB-MAPP)
  • Provide direct one on one instruction
  • Complete progress reports
  • Graph and analyze data
  • Conduct support staff, parent and teacher training
  • Oversight and direct behavioral support team

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioural challenges.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism is preferred
  • Reliable transportation and driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Responsibilities:

  • Provides 1:1 and/or group therapy to clients utilizing behavior plans under the supervision of the BCBA or BCaBA
  • Collecting and recording data on client progress through NET/DTTs
  • Provides feedback and modeling regarding the behavior plan and approved procedures, policies, and protocols regarding behavioral treatment to the individuals
  • Travel within the area is required
  • Ability to work independently

Qualifications:

  • Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred; or willing to go through training to become one
  • Experience working with children; experience with children on the Autism Spectrum or developmental disabilities strongly preferred
  • Reliable transportation and driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Comfortable working with children who display behavior problems
  • Able to ask for help from supervisors/support team when needed
